IJCIEOM is a long-standing international conference organised by ABEPRO, the Brazilian Association of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. Each year it gathers academics, PhD students and practitioners to present research, exchange ideas and strengthen international collaboration across the discipline.
In 2027 the conference travels to Rio de Janeiro, hosted by PUC-Rio with local secretariat services by Nui Eventos, under a theme that pairs digital transformation with circular, net-zero and human-centric operations.

Regenerative and intelligent pathways to the twin transition
IJCIEOM 2027 explores how digital intelligence and regenerative, circular practice advance together, building operations that are efficient, sustainable and human-centric. It is the joint digital-and-green shift reshaping the field's next decade.
Contributions are welcomed across the breadth of industrial engineering and operations management; the thematic tracks are detailed in the call for papers.
Call for papers
The 2027 call is a Thematic Section of Production, the ABEPRO journal. Manuscripts enter double-blind peer review on a rolling basis, and accepted papers must be presented at the conference by at least one author.

What the section seeks
Empirical evidence, theoretical frameworks, methodological contributions, simulation models and applied studies, with strong empirical grounding and explicit implications for production engineering and operations management.

Production (formerly Produção) is ABEPRO's flagship journal, created in 1990 (ISSN 0103-6513). It publishes original research in operations, manufacturing, industrial engineering and production management.

Proceedings and fast-track journals
Accepted and presented conference papers are published in the proceedings and considered for a Springer book indexed in Scopus, with selected contributions invited to fast-track journals.
